Privacy Policy

Motologic Systems ("we," "our," or "us") operates the PlotTwist Party Games mobile application (the "App"), available for iOS and Android. PlotTwist includes Trust No One (social deduction, 4–20 players) and Word Spy (deduction, 4–20 players). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Player Names — Names entered for game participants. These are stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to our servers.
• Custom Words — Any custom words you add for Word Spy games. Stored locally only.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Location (Optional) — When you grant location permission, the App optionally tags each game record with a general location name (city/neighborhood) so you can remember where a game was played. Location data is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers. You can deny this permission without affecting gameplay.
• Device Information — Device model, OS version, and app version collected anonymously for crash reporting and compatibility via Firebase Crashlytics.
• Usage Analytics — Anonymous, aggregated analytics (screen views, feature usage) via Firebase Analytics to improve the App. No personally identifiable information is included.
• Advertising ID — Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) may use your device's advertising identifier to serve contextually relevant ads in the free version of the App. Pro subscribers do not see ads.

1.3 Subscription and Purchase Information

If you purchase a Pro subscription, payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your payment card information. We receive a confirmation of purchase status to unlock Pro features, stored locally on your device via an encrypted cache.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service — Run games, track history, and display scores.
• Improve the App — Analyze anonymous crash reports and usage patterns to fix bugs and add features.
• Serve Advertising — Show relevant ads to free-tier users via AdMob (disabled for Pro subscribers).
• Customer Support — Respond to support inquiries you initiate via email.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All game data — player names, game history, settings, and subscription status — is stored locally on your device using an encrypted Hive database. The App works fully offline. No game data is sent to our servers.

3.2 Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Firebase Analytics — Anonymous usage analytics. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Firebase Crashlytics — Crash and error reporting. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — Advertising for free users. Google Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play — Subscription and payment processing. Governed by Apple and Google privacy policies respectively.

4. Data Retention

Since game data is stored locally on your device, retention is controlled by you. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. Anonymous analytics and crash reports retained by Firebase are governed by Google's retention policies (typically 14 months for analytics).

5. Children's Privacy

PlotTwist is rated for ages 9+ on the App Store and 7+ on Google Play. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not require account creation or collect personally identifiable information from any user. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at motologicsystems@outlook.com and we will take steps to address it.

6. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store personally identifiable information on our servers, most data subject rights (access, correction, deletion) are exercisable directly on your device by managing or uninstalling the App. For any questions about data processed by our third-party services, contact those services directly using the links in Section 3.2.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
