This Privacy Policy describes how POSSible ("the App"), developed by Motologic Systems ("we", "us", "our"), handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
1. Data We Collect
Data You Provide
When you use POSSible, you enter business data including:
- Product catalogs, prices, and inventory levels
- Sales transactions and payment records
- Customer information (names, contact details, loyalty points)
- Employee/user accounts and roles
- Table layouts and order history (restaurant mode)
- Expense records and financial reports
All of this data is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs
- We do not display ads or use ad-tracking technologies
- We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties
2. Cloud Sync (Optional — Premium)
POSSible Premium offers an optional cloud sync feature. If you choose to enable this:
- Your data is synced securely to enable multi-device and multi-branch access
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- You can disable cloud sync at any time to return to local-only operation
- We access synced data only to provide the sync service — never for analytics or marketing
3. Bluetooth Printing
POSSible connects to Bluetooth thermal printers for receipt and kitchen order printing:
- Bluetooth permissions are used solely for printer communication
- No data from Bluetooth connections is stored, transmitted, or shared
4. Data Storage & Security
- All business data is stored in a local database on your device
- User roles and passwords are stored with secure hashing
- The app works 100% offline — no internet connection is required for core POS functionality
5. Data Sharing
We do not share your data with anyone. Period.
- No third-party analytics services
- No advertising networks
- No data brokers
- No government agencies (unless required by law with a valid legal order)
6. Data Export & Deletion
- Export: You can export sales reports and data as Excel files from within the app
- Backup: You can create local database backups
- Deletion: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data. Cloud-synced data can be deleted from your account settings
7. Children's Privacy
POSSible is a business tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
8. Third-Party Services
- Google Play / Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases. Payment is handled entirely by the respective store
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
